With our resources, training and name recognition you can build your real estate career with confidence.

My Career Path: My management background began in 1990 working in retail in Jacksonville, Florida. I obtained my real estate license in 2004 and searched out a company that I thought would give me the absolute best training in the industry. That led me to join Watson Realty Corp. In following with my career goals, I obtained my broker's license in 2006 and became the managing broker of the Watson Realty, Putnam County office in March of 2009. I continue to believe that great customer service is the number one reason that companies are able to stay in business and look for associates who keep this a top priority followed by education and training in all aspects of their field. We continue to build our office one customer at a time and one agent at a time offering more than 50 years of doing business THE WATSON WAY.

My Personal History: I grew up in a small town just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. I moved to the Jacksonville area in 1989 and the rest of my family soon followed.  I found my way to beautiful Putnam County and San Mateo after meeting my husband.  We are in the perfect spot to take day trips to anywhere that we enjoy visiting in Florida. Palatka and Putnam County have so much to offer including trails through the national or state forests, the beautiful St. Johns River, and the quaint shops in Palatka and Crescent City.  Come for a visit... You'll decide to stay!

The agents and I look forward to sharing this great community and helping others find their way to great Florida living.

Introduction to Putnam County and the Palatka, Florida area…

Located in the bend of the St. Johns River, Palatka has played an important part of Florida’s history since the early 1800’s.  The name originates from the Seminole-Creek name of Pilotaikata which translates to “boat crossing”.  The city became a port of entry into the state and eventually a popular tourist destination in the early 1900’s.  The mild weather brought many of the rich and famous to the area including Thomas Edison, Harriet Beecher Stowe, President Grover Cleveland, and Babe Ruth.  Rev. Billy Graham is another notable figure who graced the shores of the St. Johns in Palatka.

Life in Putnam County, slow paced and relaxed.  However, during the spring the county comes alive with festivals ranging from the Azalea Festival in March, to Crescent City’s Catfish Festival in April on to the famous Memorial weekend Blue Crab Festival in downtown Palatka.  In between, people come to watch sailboats in the Mug Race or participate in various Bass Tournaments on the beautiful St. Johns.

Activities in your back yard and beyond.  Putnam County offers many spots for recreational activities for all ages.  Including Dunn’s Creek State Park, the Ravine Gardens State Park and the Rodman Reservoir.  The Ocala National Forest and Welaka National Forest both offer hiking trails and great opportunities for bird watching.  If you are looking for something else to do, it will not be far away.  You will find Florida’s beaches and amusement parks within a short distance for day trips.

Moving forward.  Putnam County implemented the Better Place Plan and has made improvements that impact everyone in the area, from improvements to local parks and community centers to a new Emergency Operations Center.  Many of the historic buildings in Palatka that host visitors were included in the improvements.  Many private homeowners have also refurbished their homes to their historic grandeur.  Some, such as Fern Court’s owner, have opened their doors to you for overnight lodging and special occasions.  Visit for information on visiting this local Bed & Breakfast.

Watson Realty Corp. has found its way to Putnam County and has been successful in the area since 2004.  Our agents are ready to meet your needs whether you are looking for a weekend fishing retreat, second home, riverfront retirement or a place to raise your family.  Our area offers waterfront fly-in communities to horse ranches.  Whatever lifestyle you are looking for, we can help you find it.

Tina is the driving force for this "small but mighty" Putnam County Watson Realty office, Tina's sensitivity to both the customer's needs and the agents in her office adds to the cohesive team spirit in the office. The organizational skills and marketing direction she provides has been an inspiration to me as an agent under her leadership.

My testimonial to Watson Realty Corp begins with my retirement from active duty military service in February of 2016. Real estate has always been a personal interest for me but I had no idea how to get started or the educational requirements to be a licensed agent. In February of 2016 I spoke with a retired military friend who worked in Watson’s Orange Park office, and he had said That Watson Realty Corp was the best company to work for, and NOT just as far as real estate was concerned, but literally the best company. He was completely correct and my Watson experience has been the same. I have never considered any other agency after the first day stopped and spoke with my Broker Tina Arant. She had taken time out of her busy schedule (on more than one occasion) to speak with me directly and inform me of how to get through the licensing process, which included dates, times, and locations of schools available. As I was waiting for school to begin I was invited to training every Tuesday which helped me tremendously in the licensing process.  I don’t believe I would have received this quality of  training anywhere else. Due to the people willing to help me in the Palatka Office, and the outstanding comradery, I was sold! I know I will stay with this company, and hopefully this particular office, for the remainder of my career.   Upon receiving my license, there was NEVER a time when someone in this office was too busy to help me or unable to answer any of my many questions. I absolutely know if it wasn’t for the abundance of training I receive on a daily basis I would not be successful. This office and its superb leadership and training have effortlessly helped me surpass my personal goals of having one closed piece of business and two listings within my first six months. In the five short months I have been in the business and with Watson, I have already had one closing on my own listing, along with several other current listings, two offers accepted, and two customers ready to purchase homes. This can only be a testament to the training and advise I receive daily.  If there were anybody considering the real estate business, there is no question in my mind what company to choose, specifically for me, the Palatka Office and its amazing people. There was no question in my mind once I obtained my license what company I wanted to be associated with and direct guidance. As a new agent, Watson's Success School and Tina's immediate attention to contract and transaction questions has been the absolute best decision I could have made for my new business. Tina's attention to detail, experience as a field agent and manager in our market has truly helped me grow and understand the processes more clearly. She truly initiates a "share your story" approach to create a team/personal growth atmosphere in our office.
